Smile Clinic Too returns to La Isla Bonita

The Smile Clinic is back in San Pedro. Working from the Holy Cross school, the dentists and volunteers plan on tending to approximately 100 kids. Their last day on the island is Thursday and parents are advised that the clinic is free of cost and all may pay a visit.

Pilot Nigel Flowers Found Deceased

Reports have reached The San Pedro Sun that island resident and Maya Island Air pilot Nigel Flowers, 33, of Belize City was found dead this morning in his apartment.

Co-workers and friends became concerned about Flowers and discovered his lifeless body at approximately 10:30AM. Dr. Giovanni Solórzano was called to the scene where he estimated that Flowers had died of natural causes approximately seven hours prior to being discovered. Family members have been notified and Flowers body has been sent to Belize City for a post-mortem exam. No foul play is suspected.

The San Pedro Sun sends condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Flowers. May he rest in peace.

New Horizon Celebrates Harvest Day

New Horizon Seventh Day Adventist Church held their annual Harvest Day celebration this Sunday morning.

The congregation arrived at the church loaded with baskets of fresh fruits and vegetables to pay tribute to God for a successful year of harvest. A food market was set up outside the church and the day was dedicated to giving thanks and fellowship.
