Costa Maya Resort VS Sueño del Mar (Friendly Match)
On Sunday March 20th a friendly football game was played between Costa Maya Staff and Sueño del Mar Construction. It was a bright Sunday afternoon when staff of both groups came together to presence this first friendly game. An enthusiastic crowd was cheering for their team. After a vigorous game Sueño del Mar Construction was triumphant. Costa Maya will host more events like these to enhance relationship with our neighbors.

Miss San Pedro Pageant 2010 TONIGHT!!
The lovely young ladies vying for the title of Miss San Pedro 2010-2011 will be onstage tonight giving it their best shot and hoping to be the lucky winner who will walk away with the title of Miss San Pedro. There will be a fabulous show, so come to the Old Football Field where you will see incredible presentations, dances, costumes and gorgeous gowns on-stage. This is an event that you won't want to miss.
The winner of this pageant will be crowned on September 10th before the uniform parade through the streets of San Pedro.



The contestants enjoyed the sights in San Ignacio...
They have been fortunate to enjoy a lot of visits to the beautiful places around Belize, and even in their hometown of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. Win or lose, they will have enriched their lives with wonderful memories...best of luck to all the young ladies!!

Update on Boat Accident
The San Pedro Sun can confirm that the name of the person who lost his life in the tragic boat accident last night is Cesar Scott.
Cesar Adolfo Scott, 33.
The other seriously injured person is 42-year-old Antonio Tepaz, boat captain of Sueño Del Mar.
Inside the Coastal Xpress boat were reportedly 5 passengers and 1 boat captain, identified as Luis Alberto Paz. All 5 passengers and boat captain were treated at various clinics on the island and subsequently released. Among the 5 passengers, a female US National sustained various degrees of (minor) injuries to her head, arm and legs. She chose to seek further medical attention at a private clinic after being released from the PolyClinic.

Accident at sea claims 1 life...
Reports are that at approximately 7:30pm, November 15, 2009, two vessels collided at sea in the White Sands Cove area, North Ambergris Caye. The boats involved were those of Sueño Del Mar and Coastal Xpress Water Taxi. Police have confirmed that 1 person has died and another has been critically injured. All other persons involved also sustained various injuries and are being treated.
