Costa Maya International Night

Last night the Costa Maya Festival hosted International Night with cultural dance performances by Danza Modernos de Mexico and the Belize Dance Company. Next up was Belize's own Berne who wowed the crowd with rap, hip-hop and reggae tunes. The headline concert by the well-known Reggaeton duo Angel Y Khriz from Puerto Rico had the audience jamming and singing along to all their favorite songs. After the concert the party continued into the wee hours of the morning with the crowd dancing to DJ tunes and socializing.

Costa Maya Queen 2009 Martiza Rivas and the new Costa Maya Queen 2010 Gabriela Asturias could not resist the urge to dance during the Angel Y Khriz concert.

Angel Y Khriz have the crowd singing Ven BaĆlalo at the International Costa Maya Festival held annually in San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, Belize.

Angel y Khriz touch down on La Isla Bonita

The skies are grey, but the temperatures are still warm - and at 5pm, the noise level at the San Pedro Airstrip was multiplied as screaming fans greeted the much anticipated reggaeton duo, Angel y Khriz.
They arrived directly from the Philip SW Goldson International Airport, via Maya Island Air, and at touchdown in San Pedro, screaming fans welcomed them to La Isla Bonita.

They graciously gave interviews to a number of media houses, even singing a few lyrics to entice people to come out and check out the show.
See you at the concert, TONIGHT!!

Costa Maya sees Mario Mejia and Yerbaklan for Cultural Night!!

Friday Night for Costa Maya is a night of culture and music, and this Friday was no different as the stage welcomed the Ballet Folklorico de Quintana Roo's (Mexico) cultural dances, Belize's very own Nu Generation Dance Group as part of the entertainment before the main draws of the evening. Guatemala's Mario Mejia serenaded the crowd with a mix of both English and Spanish songs, including his very own originals.
Honduras' Yerbaklan duo of Csarec and Jimmy James definitely brought the hype on the stage afterwards with their very unique mix of music...and the girls of Costa Maya Pageant 2010 even got on stage to party with them....

It was definitely a variety of entertainment, and the crowd was enjoying it all!!

Saturday Night's Angel y Khriz will surely be another big draw for this year's Costa Maya Festival, and The San Pedro Sun will be on site to bring all the great pictures and news of the performance. See you there!!!!
