House destroyed in Fire in San Pedro

The San Pedro Fire Department is still investigating a fire that occurred late Saturday afternoon. According to fire officials, at approximately 4:00 p.m., they received a call of a fire taking place in the San Pablo Area of San Pedro Town. Arriving at the scene, they observed a prefabricated house, belonging to Medina’s Construction, engulfed in flames.
The building was completely destroyed but cost of building is still uncertain. While investigation is ongoing, quick response by the San Pedro Police Department led to the arrest of a male Hispanic person seen in the immediate area of the fire when it started. The man is being accused of allegedly setting the building on fire.
The house was used as living quarters for the Medina’s Construction works. Both the Police and Fire Department continue their investigation.
