Healthy Reefs Initiative hosts Belize Reef Summit 2010

Healthy Reef for Healthy People Initiative hosted 2010 Reef Symposium, a three day event, starting with the world premiere of "Someday is NOW! Save our Reef, Demand a Plan!" and the presentation of Healthy Reefs for healthy people Lifetime Achievement Award, on Thursday November 11th.

The event culminated as hundreds of Belizeans and international supporters gathered on Sergeant's Caye, off the Barrier Reef, on Saturday November 13th, to form a human banner, calling for humanity to be in harmony with the natural world.

The action was on the final day of the three day Reef Summit and is part of the launch of the Harmony initiative, a partnership between the film, "Harmony" narrated by Prince Charles and the Global Campaign for Climate Action.

Look for this week's San Pedro Sun for the entire story.

The questions asks what are we doing to assure that this is not the end to our Reef.
