Another successful Dorado Rodeo!

Spectators lined up the beach as the fishing boats came in. Dorado after dorado was hauled in and the rodeo was on! From early,fishermen eagerly baited thier cast hoping to reel in the big one. All of them were aware that the weighing station would close at 6:00 p.m. They had to make it in on time and they did. Beautiful dorado after beautiful dorado were weighed and at a special ceremony the winners were announced.

Bridge Maintenance Notice

The San Pedro Town Council informs the public in general that effective Monday, May 25th maintenance work will commence at Boca del Rio Bridge. In order to carry on this work, the bridge will be temporarily closed daily (for a period of one month) to all pedestrians, vehicular and sea traffic as follows:

From 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. & from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.In addition a half of the bridge (horizontally) will be closed from 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.

The Council apologizes for the inconvenience caused and thanks the public for their understanding.

Teachers and Nurses Celebrated

Thursday night was a celebration of two of our town’s greatest assets, teachers and nurses. This annual celebration was hosted by the San Pedro Town Council (SPTC), and on hand to take care of our nurses and teachers were members of the SPTC, volunteers, Miss San Pedro and the Rompe Raja Band. A delicious meal and lots of cool drinks made the night even better. Games were played, and everyone got to socialize and have a grand time.
