Heart failure claims snorkeler's life

At approximately 11:00 am a group of friends visiting Ambergris Caye decided to visit one of the country's most acclaimed snorkeling sites, Hol Chan Marine Reserve.
David Gregor Cobb, 55-year-old US National from New Jersey, began experiencing problems health difficulties. Assistance was offered to Cobb, who was signaling from a cluster of coral. By the time help arrived, Cobb was transported to the boat but made it there in an unconscious state.
CPR was offered but Cobb was pronounced dead on arrival at San Pedro Town by Dr. Javier Zuniga.
The body will be transported to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) for a post mortem examination. No foul play is expected.

Thank you for posting the pictures and information. Dave was our friend of 26 years. Our hearts go out to his family and especially his wife, Iris. If you could let her know this we would appreciate this. We are not able to contact her.

I thought his name was David Cobb, who is David McGregor?

his middle name is Gregory but the reporter thought his last name was Gregor. His name is David Gregory Cobb, he was a close friend of mine as well I grew up living nextdoor to him and his family.

Thank you for the many condolences we have received from so many dear friends. This was truly tragic for us to live through. David was loved by so many and formed deep attachments with his friends. As his sister, it has been very comforting to have such a large network of support from such ones. We will dearly miss him until we can welcome him back again as God promised. That is what we look forward to.
