Caye Caulker Marches Against Crime

In response to the recent murder of Caye Caulker resident Lorleen Young, residents organized a march against crime. People from Ambergris Caye as well as the mainland joined in the protest, which was spearheaded by the Caye Caulker Neighborhood Watch Program. Their message was clear: Stop the violence. Their hope is that their message will be heard, and that it is time for change so that Caye Caulker can once more be considered safe and crime free.

I sincerely hope that this protest pays off and the authorities will make the necessary adjustments in the Caye Caulker Police Sub-formation. Here is also hoping that they will replace those cops with ones that will work FOR the community in combatting crime on the island. Caye Caulker is too small of a community for crime of such magnitude to take place. This is the worst it has ever come down to.
