Sir Barry Bowen
A terrible plane crash claimed the life of Barry Bowen, who was piloting his private plane, and the lives of two employees along with their two children, a three year old and a baby.
The plane crashed at an area south west of the DFC Subdivision in a marshy swampy location. The white single propeller airplane was on its back and rescue efforts attempted to turn the plane right side up in order to remove the bodies from the wreckage.
This is tragic news to the country of Belize. The most sincere condolences to the family and friends of the late Sir Barry Bowen.

Very sad for the young family and the Bowen family, however Barry Bowen was a totally corrupt person who has been holding the entire country of Belize in his pocket. Overpriced beer and draconian laws means he took far more than his fair share of money from the many poor folks who struggle to even eat.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however during this time of mourning we ask that comments remain respectful of the deceased.
The entire Bowen family is in our thoughts and prayers. May God give Dixie and family the strength to get through today, tomorrow and the weeks ahead.
