Missing Woman on San Pedro


Reports were filed with the San Pedro Police on Monday concerning a female flight attendant who is missing on San Pedro. 37 year old MARIA ANTONIA PLAZA GOMEZ, a Spanish National who works for Maya Island Regional has been missing since Saturday evening.

Reports are that she arrived in Belize on Saturday and told the rest of the flight crew that she would be spending the night on San Pedro. She checked into a hotel, went out for the evening and did not return to the hotel. Her possessions were left in the hotel room and police along with Maya Island Staff have launched a search on San Pedro.

Angel y Khriz touch down on La Isla Bonita


The skies are grey, but the temperatures are still warm - and at 5pm, the noise level at the San Pedro Airstrip was multiplied as screaming fans greeted the much anticipated reggaeton duo, Angel y Khriz.
They arrived directly from the Philip SW Goldson International Airport, via Maya Island Air, and at touchdown in San Pedro, screaming fans welcomed them to La Isla Bonita.


They graciously gave interviews to a number of media houses, even singing a few lyrics to entice people to come out and check out the show.

Welcome Miss Costa Maya Internacional 2008-2009!!

Jennifer Chiong arrived this afternoon on board Maya Island Air, looking beautiful and elegant as always. She is scheduled to hand over her crown to the new Miss Costa Maya 2009-2010 on Thursday August 6th. Welcome Miss Chiong! Bienvenida!!

Michael Jai White arrives in San Pedro

Actor and stuntman Michael Jai White touched down in San Pedro for a meeting with Minister of Tourism and Culture and Civil Aviation Manuel Heredia Jr. His visit will be a brief one, as he is scheduled to leave the country today, Friday. He was in Belize for the International Film Festival.

New International flights by Maya Island Air

Maya Island Air will soon start offering flights to Cancun and Guatemala City. Starting July 8th, 2009, those wishing to travel by air to these hotspots can now do so with the trusty Maya Island route. San Pedro Sula and Roatan in Honduras are also part of their flight rotation.
