Brandi Mermaid at Capricorn Resort

“Brandi Mermaid, Belize’s First Real Mermaid” was at Capricorn on Friday May 13^th and The San Pedro Sun was invited to view her in action.

Dressed in her very realistic mermaid tail, Brandi became the serving platter for countless sushi rolls. Visitors were invited to sip of some wine as they enjoyed sushi off the mermaid’s body. She informs that she has been training for over two years now, practicing breath hold, yoga, and free diving with her tail.
Brandi hopes to soon offer the following services all over the Caribbean as a mermaid:- Underwater Photography/Modeling, Mermaid Nyotaimori catering, Underwater Marriage Proposals, Films/Documentaries/ Commercials, Event Promotions, Advertising, Acting, Singing/Playing guitar (can provide music for events as well),Entertainment at Pool Parties/ Hotels/ Resorts, Adult Parties.

Quien es esa niña, who’s that girl? Señorita mas fina, who’s that girl?
She is no other than 21-year-old Nicaraguan beauty – Maritza Rivas. Contending this year’s Reina de la Costa Maya International, Maritza has a Master’s Degree in Tourism Management and Development which according to her, is crucial for her home country of Nicaragua. “Tourism is the future of my country, all it takes is envisioning it,” she explains.
The effervescent Maritza is well known for her energy and sense of humor. She describes herself as spontaneous, charismatic, very happy, loves to laugh, enjoys sharing and making people feel good about themselves.

Prom 2009!!

Hundreds of islanders lined up on the street next to Banana Beach Resort on Thursday night to get a glimpse of the fourth form students and their dates as they made a public entrance to Prom night 2009. One after the other, the glamorous and well-dressed prom participants walked up the isle to the thunderous applause of the hundreds of spectators. Following their grand entrance, the students then entered into El Divino Restaurant where they enjoyed a night full of fun with music, food and drinks. During the course of the night, prizes were given out to winners in each category.
