Brighter Tomorrow Graduates 8

Brighter Tomorrow Pre-School (San Pedrito based) held their graduation at Living Word Church on Sunday at 2pm. No storm was going to stop the kids from marching up to receive their certificates of completion!! Congratulations and The San Pedro Sun wishes you all the best in BIG KIDS school!!

In another note, The San Pedro Sun staff was pleasantly surprised by the arrival of Javier Sr. and Javier Jahel Gongora Jr. They presented us with a certificate of appreciation - aww shucks! It's our pleasure!! Thank you!!

ABC Pre-School celebrates Mommies

ABC Pre-school students had a special Mother's Day treat for their mommies this morning as they sang a special song, gave them hand-made roses then joined them in creating some beautiful arts and crafts. Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mommies on the island and throughout the world!!

May 10th is celebrated by many as Mother's Day.

ABC Pre School Visits San Pedro Sun - The Easter Bunny Drops by Little Angels

This morning, The San Pedro Sun got a chance to host to the ABC Pre School. Kainie explained to the bunch of enthusiastics, the functions of a newspaper, and the people that make it happen.

While learning about the role of a newspaper in the community, ABC students delighted staff with a song dedicated to the five senses. Click play above to listen.

Later in the morning, Little Angels pre-schoolers were visited by the Easter Bunny. Children were excited to receive their Easter Baskets, and took the chance to take pictures with Mr. Bunny.

ABC Pre-School students welcome visitors!

A doctor (Dr. Zuniga), a dentist (Dr. Cima) and Be Kind Belize director (Colette Kase) were present early Wednesday morning at ABC Pre-School to talk about their profession.

Dr. Zuniga had a show-and-tell with the tools of his trade, as did Dr. Cima. A stethoscope, pressure cuff, gloves, face masks, and lighted instruments kept the kids entertained, and they had many questions.

Colette showed up with Scruff the dog (a puppet) and proceeded to regale students with a story about Scruff. Be Kind Belize promotes kindness, and educates children on ways to show kindness to people, animals and the environment.

The month-long activities continue for child stimulation month...

Little Angel's Pre-School Graduates 49!

Little Angel's Pre-School held their commencement exercises on Thursday, June 18th, 2009 at the R.A. Nuñez Auditorium.
Students marched into the auditorium with smiles on their faces as parents proudly looked on. The very touching rose ceremony for the parents was the highlight of the ceremony, as children got to hand over roses for their mommies and daddies, and got hugs and kisses in return.
Congratulations to the babies, and welcome to the new phase of your lives, Primary School!!
